Canucks

Are you ready fans? Our boys are down in the series 2-0 to the LA Kings.

This is what separates the wagon jumpers from the true fans. They can do this!

Canucks VS Bruins Game 4

Well, that certainly didn't turn out the way we wanted did it?

Poor Bobby Lu. When we win it is not because of him, but sure enough whenever we lose a game, it is ALL his fault. Sure he needs to shoulder some responsibility, but honestly, the entire team just fell apart. The D just let the Bruins walk right into our zone and made bad plays (I am looking at you Ballard). The forwards couldn't score.

I have one message for all the Canucks fans getting ready to/have launched themselves off the wagon. Guess what? We are STILL only two wins away from the cup. Have a little faith in our boys. In other words:

Canucks Fashion

When the Vancouver Canucks won Game 2 in the Stanley Cup Finals, Ryan and I took a walk around downtown Vancouver. It was fantastic! What a great atmosphere, it really reminded me of the Olympics!

However, I couldn't help but notice some horrific fashion! I know ladies want to look sexy in their Canucks gear but when you pair the following together...know that people are looking at you because you look....freaking horrible. Do not put together an outfit together like this:

Scams

Ok folks, here we are, the Stanley Cup Finals. If you are a die hard fan like me, you are looking to buy tickets for the holy grail of hockey. Stanley Cup Final tickets are $$$$$$$ in case you have been living under a rock and haven't heard.

I have been searching for some affordable tickets, but it would seem affordable and Stanley Cup Finals tickets is an oxymoron. Upper bowl tickets are being listed at $500 each on eBay and Craigslist and lower bowl is anywhere from $1,000 - $3,000 each. Yes each.

Um....mortgage payment or the game. I seriously thought about it for a moment, but I had to choose my apartment.

At any rate, to the point of this blog post. In short, as the old saying goes, if it is too good to be true, it likely is. I saw an ad on Craigslist for Game 1 tickets for $520. They didn't list if the price was for each or for the pair, so I thought I'd give it a shot and email them.

Canucks VS Bruins

You know I love my Canucks and there is no way I would pick the Bruins winning anything. Right?

Except one thing. The Bruins have a wicked marketing/social media campaign. Check out my favourite two examples below:

Round 2 Thoughts and Ramblings

Canucks VS Predators Predictions

I am not sure if the Nashville series will match up to the emotional roller coaster we all experienced during the Chicago series.  If anything, with Nashville's shut down defensive game, it may make for (dare I say it?) some boring playoff hockey.

They have some great players for sure, but not dynamos like Jonathan Toews.  It will be a tightly checked game too. I don't expect the twins to do the behind the legs, drop pass kind of goals.

Any predictions?  I am going to say Canucks in 6!

Canucks Game 7

Vancouver Canucks take Game 7 2-1 and win the series over the Chicago Blackhawks! *Does happy dance* Too excited for words (ok, I have a few).

The Canucks went out prepared to win and played like the President's Trophy winners. Alex Burrows was the hero of the game (maybe the series) with the two goals in Game 7.

Burrows scored 2 minutes into the first period and made it a 1-0 game.  Two periods later and 2 minutes until the end of the 3rd, Jonathan Toews scored shorthanded on Roberto Luongo.  Totally crazy.  Suddenly, it started to feel like the Olympics all over again.  Where is Sidney Crosby?!!!

Canucks Game 6

You know, no one said it would be easy.  That is why it's the playoffs, and that is why it takes 4 wins.

Personally I thought that Canucks should have won this game (no, no bias at all). Crawford gave a herculean effort and stopped everything in the 3rd and OT.

Our main issue is of course, goal tending.  An issue we thought we had solved earlier in the year.  However, Luongo continues to fight his inner demons while playing against the Blackhawks.  No doubt about it, he is rattled.
