Canucks Game 7

Vancouver Canucks take Game 7 2-1 and win the series over the Chicago Blackhawks! *Does happy dance* Too excited for words (ok, I have a few).

The Canucks went out prepared to win and played like the President's Trophy winners. Alex Burrows was the hero of the game (maybe the series) with the two goals in Game 7.

Burrows scored 2 minutes into the first period and made it a 1-0 game.  Two periods later and 2 minutes until the end of the 3rd, Jonathan Toews scored shorthanded on Roberto Luongo.  Totally crazy.  Suddenly, it started to feel like the Olympics all over again.  Where is Sidney Crosby?!!!

To the beginning of overtime, Burrows pulled down Keith and the Canucks killed off what must be the biggest penalty of the year.  5 minutes later, Campoli turned over the puck and Burrows buried it behind Corey Crawford.  And Vancouver Canucks fans go crazy!!!!!! We win!

A few other things:
  1. Ryan Kesler was again a beast at this game!
  2. Roberto Luongo was focused like a laser beam and finally got the Blackhawk monkey off his back
  3. Corey Crawford played amazing, holy moly, unbelievable!
  4. We knew Jonathan Toews would come up big for the Blackhawks at some point.  Great time to do that tonight!
  5. Alex Burrows. What more can I say about this guy?
What a series, such intensity!  Full credit to the Chicago Blackhawks, the 2010 Stanley Cup champs gave the Vancouver Canucks a very good run for their money!

I am so stoked!  It feels like they should roll out the cup now.  Alas, we face off against Nashville on Thursday.

4 wins down 12 to go. Go Canucks Go!

Haha, you said it, girl! Also, thank you, Joanathan Toews, for finally exposing the Canucks for what they really are: winners.

Crawford had an amazing series. Full credit to him, but it was great to see Kesler come alive these last couple of games. That first goal tonight was all Kesler.
