Go Vote

******* UPDATE *********
Cons 165 NDP 105 Lib 34 BQ 3 Green 1.  Majority Conservative government tonight.

Today is election day. Go vote.

I am not going to guilt trip you. I am not going to tell you how people are dying around the world for a right so many Canadians take for granted. I am not going to remind you that you can't complain about the economy/health care/environment if you don't vote.

I know you have heard it all before over and over again.  So all I have to say is, all the cool kids do it, so you probably should too. Hehehe.

On a more serious note, if you are confused about who to vote for, check out CBC's Vote Compass. It asks you for your opinion on a number of political issues and then shows you your position in the political landscape as well as how your views compare with the platforms put forward by each of the political parties. Pretty cool right?!
If you are still confused or just want all the facts right off the bat, take a look at CTV's Party Platforms page to see where each party stands on issues such as the environment and health care. Also, more info on the leaders of each party here.

First time voters and those who are a little rusty; check out CBC's Voter Toolkit for more information on how to vote, where to go, and what to bring.

Alright you have all the info and tools to vote. Come over to the my side of the monkey bars and let's hang, because you are cool now ;)

Sweet thanks. And...it IS important that people know we take this for granted. We have a dismal voter turn out every year.

It is shameful.
